TN_29 | Summer 2010
Our shoes often meld familiar elements with an avant-garde touch. In the spirit of blending old with new, it seemed perfect to do this season’s photo-shoot in the last remaining lampshade factory in Britain. They have been making shades since the 1920’s. As soon as you walk through the doors the pride associated with great craftsmanship is palpable, with a grand display of lampshade making components adorning the factory space. These historical props provide the backdrop for our collection this season, echoing and bouncing off the shapes found in our shoes.
The shoes: timelessness and longevity are key and reflected in our choice of materials. Natural vegetable dyed leathers are worked deftly into simple shapes that sit chemical-free against your bare summer feet. Easy and sensual colours evoke spring past and present - dusty lavender, moss green and twig patina tint the leather that traces the lines of your feet. The vegetable dye changes and evolves with the passing of time. These shoes are yours for the life of the shoe.
